Taipei AMPA 2009 opens new era for auto parts & accessories on a bigger scale!

New era record size auto parts & accessories event

Taipei, Taiwan, Oct. 17, 2008 - No other trend’s so apparent the taking to wheels by electronics! And that new drive’s most evident in Taipei where its traditional auto parts trade show Taipei AMPA (Taipei International Auto Parts & Accessories Show) unfolds next to Autotronics Taipei (Taipei International Automobile Electronics Show) that’s dedicated to electronic auto parts.

 

These events, namely, the most professional events of their kind in Asia, are launched at the Taipei World Trade Centre NANGANG Exhibition Hall from April 14 to 17, 2009 and host more than 1,100 exhibitors who will be using a record 2,700 booths. This record number of exhibitors, booths, and products is projected to attract more than 53,000 visitors including more than 5,500 international buyers from 120 countries visit Taiwan for the latest innovation and technologies that local auto part makers have to offer.

 

International visitors repeatedly pour praise on Taipei AMPA for offering a comprehensive product procurement hub that meets all their needs for auto parts and accessories. It brings together the vast and diverse output of both Taiwan and the global market to help buyers easily make a one stop shopping.

Taipei AMPA 2009 showcases car accessories and car care products, tools & equipment, and auto parts including automobile engines and parts, power trains, steering, brakes, automobile frames and parts, pneumatic tires/ tubes, automotive rubber/ plastic components, and die and jig fixtures. For more than 1,000 exhibitors have already registered at the show, 2,500 booths have been fully booked. Here you will see such international key players as TYC Brothers, Depo Auto Parts, Gordon Auto Body Parts will display their latest products and innovations.

 

A full schedule of events

To add even greater depth to the show the organizer has arranged a full schedule of events including the International Auto Parts and Accessories Technology Forum, Industry Workshops and Seminars, One-on-One Procurement Meetings, Innovative Awards, and Cross-Strait Auto Parts and Accessories Show. All the events are dedicated to providing an even better platform for further trade opportunities.

With more than 50 overseas branch offices around the world one could say TAITRA, the organizer has friends everywhere. And hat plus lets TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) invite the best select list of international visitors. The last event earlier this year has attracted 5,200 professional international visitors and over 46,000 domestic local pros. Total visitors increased by 19 % with 950 visitors coming from Japan (18.4%), USA (10.17%), Malaysia (7.34%), South Korea (6.41%), and Singapore (4.15%).

The automobile industry in Taiwan has enjoyed steady growth to become one of the most important industries and exports reflect the flexible competitive make-up of Taiwan industry that is composed of small and medium sized enterprises. Custom statistics show that the total export value of Taiwan’s auto parts and accessories in 2007 amounted to US$4.6 billion, 11.3 % growth on the previous year. 

 

Between January and June this year, total value exceeded US$2.8 billion, a 5.7% growth compared to last year.   With a closely-knit domestic supply chain, striving to meet the international standard and the market trend, “Made by Taiwan” has promoted and proved the quality and added value. Auto parts & accessories produced by Taiwan have become indispensable in the global supply grid.
