A1c Express, the first HbA1c (glycated haemoglobin) point-of-care testing system developed in Taiwan, offers healthcare professionals greater efficiency and convenience  by providing lab-accurate and immediate access to quantify HbA1c status—the standard indicator of diabetes management.

A1c Express is a CE-certificated semi-automatic system. With 4 simple steps and one drop of capillary or venous blood, A1c test can be performed in the physician's office and the results are available in 5 minutes. The American Diabetes Association (ADA) recommends A1c as the best test to monitor patient's blood glucose level. A1c test should be performed every 3 months for insulin-treated patients. As for stable patient on oral agents, the recommended frequency is at least twice a year.

The patients' data is stored spontaneously with optional Compliance 2.1 software, allows the clinician to analyze critical historical patient data and make changes to therapy as needed.
