CAFETERIA/ RESTAURANT/ SNAKE BAR

TWTC Exhibition Hall: on the 2nd and 5th floor.

TICC (Taipei International Convention Center): on the ground floor and the 2nd floor.

ITB (International Trade Building): on the ground floor.

 

They are mostly open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Breakfast, coffee, buffet lunch and snacks are served. TWTC Club is located on the 33rd floor of ITB.

BANKING & FOREIGN CURRENCY EXCHANGE
Currency can be exchanged at the Bank of Taiwan ground floor branch near the plaza entrance. Several banks are located in the ITB. They include:
The Chiao Tung Bank (1st fl.), Farmers Bank of China (2nd fl.), Bank of Taiwan, Chang Hwa Commercial Bank (3rd fl.), Taipei Bank (13th fl.) and the Hongkong and the Shanghai Bank (14th floor).

TELEPHONES
The fee for local phone calls in Taipei is NT$1. Prepaid NT$100 telephone cards are used in two kinds of public phones for both local and international calls. Such cards can be purchased at the TAITRA Bookstore at the front lobby. International Calling Cards (like AT&T or MCI cards) can be used in the direct-call telephones located in the lobby near the plaza entrance and the basement.

 

TRAVEL SERVICE CENTER
Operated by Bobby Travel Service (TEL: 2723-5201, FAX: 2723-5187) on the ground floor near the main entrance. Services include hotel reservations, transport service from CKS airport to major hotels, a complete range of tours for business travelers, car rentals, and travel information. They also make photocopies and send faxes. Open weekdays 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

 

 

TOURIST HOTLINE
Tourists can gain invaluable service and assistance by dialing the Tourist Information Hotline: 2717-3737,0800-011-765, that operates everyday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

 

TAXIS
A taxi stand is located just outside the main entrance. All Taipei taxis use a set meter with a starting fare of NT$70, and a surcharge of 20% added between 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. The meter automatically adds an extra NT$5 for every additional 300 meters and NT$5 for every 2 minutes of waiting time. Tips are not given. Telephone dispatched taxis also charge an added NT$10. Passengers must cover any highway toll fees.

 

 

BUS STANDS
There are ten different bus routes connecting the showground with various parts of Taipei. Two bus areas are next to the Exhibition Hall. A single-trip bus fare is NT$15.
