COMPUTEX ─ 2007 CE Summit

隨著消費性電子產品朝匯流方向演進，各種產品與技術間的界線逐漸模糊。不論對市場上既有業者，或是新進的挑戰者，這樣的演進同時也帶來許多興起的機會。因此，雖然這些機會所涵蓋的範疇難以界定，但可確定的是，消費性電子勢必成為未來10幾年，最具影響力的產品區隔。

從產業界觀點來看，消費性電子產品的匯流趨勢，也帶動公司間新型態的競爭。不論規模大小，這些公司高層都意識到，未來可能面對的競爭對手，將與過去截然不同。這股消費性電子匯流熱潮，勢將持續延燒，成為2007年焦點話題。

As the concepts of convergence evolved in consumer electronics, we can see the boundaries of various technologies and products becoming blurred. And also, it has created huge opportunities for both incumbent and new entrant. Although it’s hard to define the scope now, we believe consumer electronics will be the most influential product category for the coming decades.

Moreover, we can observe the changes in some of the important exhibitions worldwide. Speed and performance are not the only features for new products any more. The consumer centric thinking of product design has prevailed in most of the booth. Besides, we can see more and more digital products have entered into our life. Our living spaces like home, car, in-transit, office etc. are full of different types of consumer electronics.

From the industry, the convergence of consumer electronics has encouraged new types of competitions among companies. No matter the size of companies, they will realize that the players they face will be totally different from those ones years ago.
